I like to create painting with a story behind. To give a deepness and volume to it. My painting is like a shot from a movie, which has beginning and prolongation. Memories of my soviet childhood, everyday situations, nature, people and books inspire me. I like when people find in my art something personal, what touches them emotionally and evoke certain memories.

I do not like to give an explanation to the paintings. For me a painting is like a poem, a certain message, which one can interpretate very individually.

Faces of my personages, placed in different contexts, shows facets of different emotions and allows to take other perspectives to face everyday situations. I prefer a small changes, tiny and sensitive beauty, which can create a magic atmosphere.

Mainly I paint with oil colours on canvases. This is my favourite technique. It is very various, gives a lot of opportunities and ways to express myself. During the painting I use brushes just a little bit, at the beginning and at the end of the work. Mostly I work with a small palette knife.
